This is a chutney born of friendship and good timing. Made with golden courgettes (golden zucchinis) grown especially for us by a farmer friend in Kyabram, Victoria, it captures the best of the summer garden and turns it into something deeply useful and very more-ish.
Softly sweet, gently savoury and finished with a warm lift of spice, this chutney features toasted cumin, cracked coriander seed, turmeric and mustard seeds, with just a hint of chilli to keep things interesting — never hot, just awake.
It’s the sort of chutney that earns its place on the table: generous on cheese boards, excellent in sandwiches, and a natural companion to cold meats, grilled vegetables or a simple ploughman’s lunch.
