Sweet, spiced and just a little fiery.
There’s a reason apple chutney has earned its place on ploughman’s plates and cheese boards for generations. Ours takes that much-loved classic and gives it a gentle kick. We start with real Australian apples — 75% of the jar — slow-cooked with apple-cider vinegar, onions and brown sugar until thick and glossy, then layer in warming ginger, garlic, turmeric, cumin and just enough chilli to make things interesting.
The result is a chutney that’s sweet and mellow at first, with a slow, gentle warmth that builds on the finish. Never overpowering — just enough spice to keep you reaching for another spoonful.
It’s made for rich cheese. Pair it with a sharp, aged vintage cheddar and let the sweet heat cut through the buttery richness, or spoon it over a warm, oozing wedge of baked Camembert for a proper winter showstopper. It’s equally at home beside cold cuts, a curry, grilled sausages, or melted into a toasted cheese sandwich.
Handmade in small batches in Echuca-Moama with real fruit and no artificial nasties.
